If you are experiencing technical issues with your Voicemod Key, such as noise in your microphone; no sound or low volume, there are some steps we can take into consideration.
It's important to note that the order in which you connect the VMKey device to your console can impact its functionality - this is due to how your console and gamepad detects your audio input!
If you connect everything before launching the app, the console may mistakenly enter a different mode, resulting in unexpected noises due to its inability to switch modes automatically.
To resolve this, you can either produce a loud and continuous sound, which may prompt your console to switch to the correct mode, or, alternatively, and more simply, you can follow the steps below while connecting your VMKey device:
- Turn ON your gaming console.
- Connect Voicemod Key to your phone and open the Voicemod mobile app.
- Connect your gaming controller to the controller input in the Voicemod Key using the audio cable that came in the bag.
- Last, connect your headphones (with microphone) to the Voicemod Key in the headphone input.
If you are still experiencing issues, make sure that you are also using the correct 3.5mm jack cable!
It should look like this:
(It has three black rings)
See if perhaps the cable is damaged by switching it to another, cleaning it or testing different positions, to rule out that it may not be a cable issue.
Also, make sure that your mobile phone has its volume high enough, both within the app and your phone speaker, since your mobile device will work as a controller for Voicemod Key!
As a side note, double check that your microphone volume on your console is high enough.
With this, you should be ready to go!
