Give Voicemod the permissions it needs and keep the voice magic running smoothly 🎙️📱
A simple way to carry your fun around!
Some Voicemod Mobile features need permission to access specific parts of your phone, such as your microphone, notifications, or, on supported Android devices, floating controls.
You’ll normally be asked for these permissions the first time a feature needs them. But if you tapped Don’t Allow, dismissed the request, or changed your settings later, no worries. You can enable them manually at any time.
💡 Keep in mind: Menu names can vary slightly depending on your Android manufacturer or operating system version.
Microphone permissions
Android
Voicemod needs microphone access for features that capture your voice, such as voice recording and voice processing.
Go to:
Settings → Apps → Voicemod → Permissions → Microphone
Then select:
Allow while using the app:
Depending on your Android version, the wording may vary slightly. Android lets you manage these permissions individually from the app settings.
iOS
To let Voicemod use your microphone, go to:
Settings → Apps → Voicemod
Then enable:
Microphone
You can also manage microphone permissions through:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Voicemod
Apple allows you to review and change microphone access whenever you want from Privacy & Security.
Notifications permissions
Android
Want Voicemod to keep you updated when something needs your attention?
Go to:
Settings → Apps → Voicemod → Notifications
Enable:
Allow notifications
You can also customize which notification types Voicemod can send, depending on your Android version.
iOS
Go to:
Settings → Apps → Voicemod → Notifications
Enable:
Allow Notifications
From here, you can also choose how Voicemod notifications appear, including Lock Screen, Notification Center, banners, sounds, and other options supported by iOS.
Allow Floating Controls (only for Android)
Floating Controls let supported Voicemod features stay accessible on top of other apps, so you don’t have to keep jumping back into Voicemod.
Go to:
Settings → Apps → Special app access → Display over other apps
Then:
- Find Voicemod.
- Open it.
- Enable Allow display over other apps.
Depending on your phone, this option may instead be called Appear on top or Draw over other apps.

Once the permissions you need are enabled, head back to Voicemod Mobile and try the feature again.
If a permission was already enabled but Voicemod still isn’t behaving as expected, close and reopen the app before testing again.
