Crackling audio? Weird distortion? Voice sounding off?
Your sample rate settings might be the reason.
Let’s fix that real quick!
For the best compatibility with Voicemod, your audio devices should use the recommended sample rate in Windows.
This guide shows you how to change the sample rate of your microphone, headphones, or speakers.
How to change the sample rate
1. Open the Windows sound settings
Go to: Windows Menu → Settings → System → Sound
2. Find your audio device
Locate the audio device you want to configure and open its settings.
3. Change the default format
Set the Default Format to: 2 channels, 16 bit, 48000 Hz
4. Apply the changes
Click Apply to save the new sample rate.
That’s all!
Once your sample rate is set correctly, your audio should be more stable and compatible with Voicemod.
