How to connect

Step 1: Connect VMKey to your phone and open Voicemod

Plug VMKey into your smartphone. Launch the Voicemod mobile app and wait a moment until it detects VMKey. Keep the app open; it will process your voice live.

Step 2: Cable VMKey to your Xbox controller

Use the included 3.5 mm TRRS audio cable. Connect one end to VMKey’s Controller jack and the other end to the 3.5 mm headset port on your Xbox wireless controller.

Step 3: Plug your gaming headset into VMKey

Connect your headphones with microphone to VMKey’s Headset jack. Your mic audio goes into Voicemod on the phone, then the processed voice is returned to the controller and into Xbox party/game chat.

Step 4: Check Xbox audio chat settings

Open Xbox audio settings and make sure the input is your Headset microphone. Join a party or voice-enabled game and speak—adjust phone volume and in-game mic levels if your voice is too quiet or loud.

Tip: If others hear you very softly, raise your phone’s media volume and slightly lower the Xbox mic monitoring or in-game mic boost until it’s clear.
