Want to play audio through Voicemod without a physical microphone? Use a virtual audio cable as the input.
Before you start
This Windows setup needs a virtual audio device such as VB-CABLE. Installing an audio device may require a restart.
Route your audio into Voicemod

Install a virtual audio device
Download and install the virtual cable. Restart Windows if the installer asks you to.

Route your player to the cable
Go to Windows Settings → System → Sound → Volume mixer. Set your music player’s output to the virtual audio device.

Play your audio
Start playback in the music player. You may not hear it locally while it is routed through the virtual cable.

Select it in Voicemod
Open Voicemod and choose the virtual audio device as your microphone/input. Complete the Audio Wizard.

Restore your normal player output
When you finish, return to Windows Volume mixer and change the player’s output back to your normal audio device.
Voicemod should now receive audio from the player through the virtual device and send it through the Voicemod virtual microphone.
Keep your normal output in mind
If your music player stays routed to the virtual cable after you finish, you may not hear it through your usual speakers or headphones.
