Keep in mind for the proper functioning of Voicemod you have to use headphones. If you use speakers, the sound may feed your microphone and create feedback that will ruin the experience.
If that happens and you cannot or don't want to use headphones, please turn down the input and/or output volume of your devices.
You can do this directly in Voicemod settings as these volumes control the overall system volume.
In Voicemod V3 you will be able to see a line of dots indicating the optimal levels your microphone should bea at for best quality:
There, you can lower the sensitivity of the microphone or the volume of your speakers.
Once you have adjusted these volumes, try activating the HEAR MYSELF again.
If you are using headphones and still get this warning, perhaps the volume is too high and Voicemod is detecting audio feedback. In that case, we recommend the same advice.
With the new 'Mixer Mode' you can also change the volume sliders of the different channels that Voicemod uses, for example: Voicebox, Soundboard, Hear myself...
Change them according to your needs!
Remember that if your HEAR MYSELF is being disabled it is because our algorithm is detecting the problem and is disabling it to prevent it.
If you wish, you can go to SETTINGS - AUDIO - ADVANCED AUDIO SETTINGS to disable this option.
If you still can hear your voice twice maybe is cause you have a monitoring option selected:
- Open Sound settings -> Sound Control Panel.
- Go to the Recording tab > Select your microphone and double click > Go to your microphone properties
- Go to the Listen tab and unselect "Listen to this device"
If you want to listen to yourself and try to minimize processing time, follow this advice:
I have an audio delay (Echo)
